NSGF condemns Christmas Day attacks

Following the Christmas Day attack in Potiskum by terrorists group, the Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) has urged security agencies working to restore normalcy in the region not to despair.
This was just as the NSGF condemned the spate of attacks rocking the nation being perpetuated by terrorists.
Chairman of the Forum and governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, who reacted to the attacks which reportedly occurred at the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) in Piri, Potiskum local government of Yobe state on Christmas day, said the Forum was deeply pained by the fact that the perpetrators chose a holy day to carry out such a dastardly act which left scores of worshippers dead and many others injured.
Aliyu equally urged security agencies not to be discouraged by the activities of terrorists, stressing that the nation would forever remain grateful to the military and other security agencies for the successes recorded so far in the war against terrorism.
The forum reiterated its commitment to continue to work closely with the federal government in finding a lasting solution to the security challenges confronting the nation
